Cancellation Policies:
Day Tours and Activities
The Tour and Activity Cancellation Policy applies to all tour and activity bookings, booked direct or through 3rd parties. This policy does not apply to Packages.
Full refund if cancelled more than 48 hours before start time.
50% refund if cancelled 24-48 hours before start time.
No refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before start time.
If bookings are cancelled by the operator or guide for any reason, customers will be offered to reschedule or book an alternative. If it is not possible to find an alternative, a full refund will be issued minus any administration fees and costs associated with the activity.
Packages
When booking a multi day or package offering, a 30% deposit is required to secure your booking. This invoice is due within 10 days of issue. The remaining amount should be paid no later than 30 days before arrival.
The Package Cancellation Policy applies to all multi day and package bookings, booked direct or through 3rd parties.
Full refund if cancelled more than 60 days before start date.
Full refund (minus deposit) if cancelled 31-60 days before start date.
No refund if cancelled 30 days or less before start date.
If bookings are made with less than 30 days to the start time, the full amount will be due at the time of booking. There will be a 48 hour grace period from the time of booking where bookings can be cancelled for a full refund. If bookings are cancelled by the operator or guide for any reason, customers will be offered a full refund or, if possible, the opportunity to reschedule or book an alternative.
Deposits
For larger groups and multi-day tour bookings, a deposit of 30% is required to secure the booking. This deposit is fully refundable if cancelled within 48 hours of the time the booking is made.
Non Guarantee
The tours and packages we provide are in nature and as such we cannot guarantee certain aspects of the tour. We cannot guarantee experiences / sighting having to do with wildlife / nature / weather. This includes but is not limited to: catching fish on a fishing trip, seeing moose on a moose safari, seeing the Northern Lights on an Aurora tour. We will always try our best to provide you with the best possible experience in the hopes that we can see/experience all that you expect but we cannot guarantee nature will act the way we want and will not provide refunds in these cases.
Participation in Tours and Activities – At Your Own Risk
By booking or participating in any tour, activity, or experience organized by EXP Norrland AB, you acknowledge and agree that participation is entirely at your own risk.
1. General Safety and Responsibility
All of our tours and outdoor activities take place in natural environments that may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
cold weather, slippery or uneven terrain, wildlife encounters, snowmobile operation, or other outdoor hazards.
While EXP Norrland AB and our guides take every reasonable precaution to ensure your safety, we cannot eliminate all risks associated with outdoor adventure activities.
You participate voluntarily and are responsible for your own actions and decisions during the activity.
2. Assumption of Risk
By joining any tour or activity, you:
Confirm that you understand and accept the inherent risks involved.
Agree to follow all instructions and safety guidelines provided by guides or staff.
Accept full personal responsibility for any injury, loss, damage, or accident that may occur during or as a result of participation, except where caused by proven negligence of EXP Norrland AB or our employees.
3. Physical Condition and Health
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are in suitable physical condition for the chosen activity.
If you have any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations, you must inform us in advance.
EXP Norrland AB reserves the right to refuse participation if we believe an activity may pose a health or safety risk to you or others.
4. Weather and Environmental Conditions
Outdoor tours in northern Sweden are subject to changing weather and environmental conditions.
EXP Norrland AB reserves the right to alter, delay, or cancel any activity due to safety concerns, extreme weather, or unforeseen circumstances.
Such decisions are made for your safety and do not normally entitle participants to compensation unless otherwise required by Swedish law.
5. Equipment and Conduct
Participants must use all provided equipment responsibly and return it in good condition.
You agree to:
Follow all safety instructions when operating snowmobiles, vehicles, or equipment.
Refrain from reckless or dangerous behavior that could endanger yourself, others, or wildlife.
Not participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
EXP Norrland AB reserves the right to remove any participant who acts unsafely or disruptively, without refund.
6. Insurance
Participants are strongly encouraged to hold personal travel and accident insurance that covers outdoor and adventure activities in Sweden.
EXP Norrland AB’s insurance covers only our operational responsibilities and does not replace your personal insurance coverage.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Swedish law, EXP Norrland AB and its employees, guides, or contractors shall not be held liable for:
Any personal injury, property damage, loss, or accident arising during participation;
Any delay, cancellation, or change due to weather or circumstances beyond our control;
Any indirect or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits our liability in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct under Swedish law.

By making a booking of any type with us, you are agreeing to the terms above.
