Join us for a guided snowmobile tour through a vast wintery landscape. We depart directly from Storforsen Hotel near Vidsel and hit the trails. Within minutes we are deep into the wilderness, cruising through the snowy forests and past frozen rivers and marshes. After riding for some time we will stop to have some traditional Swedish "fika" before jumping back on the snowmobiles for some more adventure. Keep an eye out for reindeer, fox, black grouse, capercaillie and the king of the North - the moose! Winter doesn't get any better than this!

4 Hour Snowmobile Tour

Evening tour to hunt for the Northern Lights. Approximately 4 hours depending on the strength of the lights. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the Northern Lights will be visible on the night you book. If you are flexible on dates we will select the best evening closer to the tour date. If the lights are not out then we focus more on driving.

Northern Lights Snowmobile Tour

Drill a hole in the ice and try your luck at ice fishing. Possibilities for perch, pike, rainbow trout or arctic char. Go by snowmobile to some of our favourite fishing locations. Lunch included. Approximately 4 hours. As with all fishing experiences, it is not guaranteed that you will catch a fish but we take you to locations that are generally good. You can take your catch with you.

Snowmobile & Authentic Reindeer Experience

An authentic arctic encounter with a local Sámi and his reindeer herd. We go by snowmobile to traditional reindeer grazing areas where our Sámi partner welcomes us. This is not a staged tourist park but a real encounter with real reindeer husbandry. Exclusive to EXP Norrland. Here you can see how reindeer herding is done first hand and also help to feed the reindeer. You will be up close and surrounded by these beautiful animals. Make sure to bring your cameras!

EXP Norrland offers thrilling snowmobile tours in Vidsel, Sweden, taking you through the Arctic landscapes of Storforsen Nature Reserve. Perfect for adventure seekers, our guided tours combine speed, scenery, and safety for an unforgettable experience.

Season:

Daily between December - April (depending on snow conditions)

Requirements:

Low - moderate level of fitness

Minimum age for driver is 18 and require a valid (car) driving license

Minimum age for passenger is 6 and must sit behind a parent

Departures:

Tours depart direct from Storforsen Hotel unless otherwise specified.

Group Sizes:

Minimum 1 person single driver or 2 person shared

Maximum 18 guests (shared snowmobiles) or 9 guests (single drivers)
